Aim of this session

The aim of this session is to encourage post-graduates and young faculty to present original research, case series and extremely rare case reports.

1. Guidelines

  1. The presenting author should be member of IAPM. If the author is a non-member and wishes to present the poster, then he/she should apply for IAPM membership in advance and at the earliest.
  2. Only registered delegates can send the abstracts.
  3. Each member can present only one paper (either paper or poster and not both).
  4. All the abstracts are to be uploaded using online registration at the conference website. It is mandatory that the delegate be an IAPM member during the process of uploading. There is no need to send hard copies by post or by CDs. The cut-off date will be 30th September. No abstracts will be made after this deadline.
  5. The First Page of the abstract should contain the following details: Name of the Presenting Author and co-authors (if any), IAPM Number of the presenting author, Address for correspondence, Delegate registration number (if already available), Mobile number, Email, and the appropriate sub-specialty.
  6. The delegates may choose the following sub-specialty: Autopsy Pathology, Bones/Joints/Soft Tissue Pathology, Cytopathology, Dermatopathology, Endocrine Pathology, Gastrointestinal Pathology, Hepatobiliary & Pancreatic Pathology, Laboratory Medicine (includes Biochemistry, Clinical Pathology, Immunology and Hematology), Lymphoreticular Pathology, Microbiology, Neuropathology, Pediatric Pathology, Thoracic Pathology, Uro-genital & Breast Pathology, AND Others.
  7. The Second Page of the abstract should include: the Title, Presenting Author and co-authors (if any) and Institutional Affiliations. The abstract is restricted to a maximum of 250 words, using Times New Roman size 12 font. It should include Objectives, Case Report/s, Conclusions, and Key words. Please check for grammar and spelling mistakes.
  8. All abstracts are peer reviewed, and the IAPM reserves the right to assign it as oral or poster presentation. The abstract therefore should not be casually written, and due care should be taken to ensure its contents. No correspondence regarding a change in the presentation shall be entertained and all members are requested not to contact the Conference Secretariat or the Honorary Secretary in the matter.
  9. On the basis of the consensus received from the screening committee members and Secretary IAPM, Secretary Organizing Committee shall prepare the final list of papers to be presented. Accepted abstracts will be listed on the conference web-site by 31st October.
  10. Abstracts may be withdrawn by a written communication via email to the Secretary by 15th October.
  11. All posters should conform to the specifications that have been given by the Organizing committee. They also should be displayed according to the allotted dates and poster numbers.
  12. Those who are presenting posters should bring with them the electronic version of the poster for presentation if selected for the plenary session on the third day of the conference.
  13. The posters will be selected on the basis of originality, pattern of poster display, contents, and presentation skills. Every effort should be made to select equal number of case reports and case series (cases ten or more, which may include oral papers converted to posters).

Best Poster Award

  • a) A total of ten posters will be selected for presentation. Every effort should be made to select equal number of case reports and case series (presented as poster).
  • b) The presentation will be for five minutes (three minutes for presentation and two minutes for discussion).
  • C) Prizes will be awarded during the valedictory function of the same year:
    First Prize: Rs 10000/- Second Prize: Rs 5000/- Third Prize: Rs 3000/-
    Two Consolation Prizes: Rs 1000/- each
